Being a wedding photographer in Virginia Beach doesn’t mean I get to shoot only weddings. Of course not! That’s why I spent this last Saturday shooting Shea’s birthday party with my friend Jeremy Grieff. This amazing birthday party took place in aLoft Hotel in Chesapeake, Virginia. This was honestly one of the funnest (yes that’s a word) shoots I’ve ever done. Don’t get me wrong; I enjoy shooting all kinds of stuff including weddings. But with this birthday party there was none of the stress of getting “the shot” because there was no such thing. The only thing Shea told us…….. “make sure you get the shoes” and so we did. Everything else was a matter of catching people being themselves and having a great time like they sure did. Happy birthday and congratulations again to Shea, Clint and their beautiful family.
A week ago I went to the First Landing Beach in Virginia Beach, VA to do a photo shoot for Darius and Anna. They are expecting their first baby in November. I’ve been doing a lot of maternity photo shoots lately here in Virginia Beach and it helps me to stay busy when there are no weddings going on for me. And I have to tell you, I’m liking it a lot.
A few days ago we went out to First Landing State Park in Virginia Beach, VA with Jamie and Lindsay. The two are expecting their first child Tanner in about a month and what better than a photo shoot to show off that belly! We didn’t have much time and the day wasn’t the best but we managed to get some nice-sweet shots of all three of them. I love maternity shoots.
Today I spent about an hour at the beach in Norfolk, VA doing a shoot for Andy, Stephanie, Jaden and little-baby-inside-mom’s-belly Noah. It was a very fun shoot despite the windy and chilly weather. Stephanie is getting induced next week and we had to make sure we took some pictures before D-Day.
Here it is. Finally! This video was taken with a 5D MKii by my photog friend Jeremy Grieff. Thanks to him and everybody that helped getting this shoot done. You can check some of the shots here. There will be more in the future so keep checking back for more.
